Topic Subject: 'initialization failed'. Posted 10-19-07 05:49 PM EDT (US) i suddenly came across this problem today, when the game is loading the ES title video, the program aborts and msgbox pops up saying 'initialization failed'. I tried the regular AOE3 and it says 'initialization failed - cannot load DATAP.BAR'.

Posted 07-29-15 10:10 PM EDT (US) i install complete collection of aoe3 in the folder named age of empires 3 - complete collection, then i cut the folder ( age of empires 3 - complete collection ) and place it in other folder. When i click to play aoe3, aoe3twc or aoe3tad is says initialization failed could not load datap.bar. But when i restore the folder to original place ( first place where i install.
